Based in Shanghai, Ziggy Chen launched his eponymous label with a vision to explore the space between cultures and eras. Chen’s philosophy centers on a collision of opposites—old and new, East and West—to create something entirely unique. He is a master of materiality, developing custom fabrics in natural fibers like wool, linen, and ramie that have a rugged, time-worn, and organic quality. This focus on textiles, combined with deconstructed details and relaxed, flowing silhouettes, results in garments that feel like wearable history, embodying a sense of tranquil, timeless, and effortless style.
